Material engineer with 18 years experience in numerical analysis modelling and simulation
including FEM and CFD. Areas of expertise include 5 years of lecturing many subjects
related to material science and engineering such as welding technologies, the strength of
materials, design, static and dynamic, Maths and CAD. Consultant engineer in welding,
corrosion, beam deflection. Ph.D degree in materials engineering, the project was about
modelling and simulation of the friction stir welding of steel using CFD technique.
Experience in XRD, SEM and EDS, estimation of residual stresses using XRD and hole
drilling techniques. Metallurgy and heat treatments of ferrous materials and elements
precipitation and segregation. Recently, there is a great concern to solar energy and how to
get benefit from it,as well as, CFd modelling of air cooling and solar stills. Many published
work in the field of numerical analysis, metallurgy, nano materials and solar energy. Carried
out five pioneer projects with a value of 86000$ in Iraq.

Doing a project for The Welding Institute TWI company about friction stir welding of
special type of steel used in marine ships. The study includs modelling and simulation the
welding process using CFD technique, friction stir welding tool optimisation, as well as,
many experiments including SEM, XRD, residual stresses measurement by XRD- technique.
Heat treatments and elements precipitation/segregation. The aim of the project is to reduce
the welding cost in order to commercialise the process.
