    ملخص البحث :

    Mountain Sinjar represents Counter asymmetrical lines within Pleat located in the northwest of Iraq, it forms the southern boundary of the builders are distinct folded in the first degree. Attitude structural analysis for the distribution of the effects of fractures and cracks explain on the air using images Landsat satellite maps and the effects of installation, pointing out cracks through different types of graphs. The study revealed that the direction of the effects of breakage characteristics vary with the different sectors of the structural lines , and can be obtained on the correlation between image and the effects of geological fracture and had been mapping of joints and cracks explain of this study also showed that the aerial photographs and remote sensing can be an effective tool in the investigation based primarily on the fracture and impact analysis folds

  • عنوان البحث : Effect of steel reinforcement distribution on ultrasonic pulse velocity measurements

    ملخص البحث :

    Abstract. Non-destructive tests (NDTs) represented one of the solutions that aid the engineers to evaluate the strength of materials. However, the results obtained using such tests still questionable as they may be affected by different factors. One of these factors is the presence of steel reinforcement in concrete. An experimental investigation is presented in the current study to investigate the effect of the distribution of steel reinforcement on the one of the most common NDTs named Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV). However, two small-scale concrete slabs were tested and the results were successfully obtained. Two different spacing between the longitudinal reinforcement were considered. Also, the effect of measuring the UPV in the top and bottom surface of the RC slab was studied. The effect of direct path length was also investigated. The results showed that the presence of reinforcement considerably affects the UPV values. Besides, no judgement was made to decide the effect of path length as fluctuated results were obtained.

The results of the study showed that the amount of solar radiation in the Samawah desertJLocated Its amount In the range (5751.1 to 5953.2) watt-hours / m2, which is an excellent value. And theThis result was obtained through the use of geographic information systems software As that method Calculate the incident solar irradiance Depends On the spatial resolution of the digital model usedinterval Temporale To fall radiation . And theReadings were taken during June and July 2019 Because these months represent the peak solar radiation fall into a desert Samawah. As that Temperatures are high during this period and an interval (two hours) is taken for taking readings. It is found by the search results That there is a high value of solar radiation Who is falling on Samawah desert.

    Abstract. This study explores the state of knowledge and state of practices regarding the use of strain gauges in road applications. It outlines the many types of strain gauges that have been used, there properties and how they are installed, pavement design evaluation for pavement with embedded sensors, the types of application in which strain gauges have been used and laboratory and field performance of different strain gauges embedded into the pavement. Typically, pavement construction with strain gauges are designed using same procedures as traditional pavement. The only common addition is how to introduce strain gauges to the pavement. A great deal of research has been conducted on the use of sensors in roads. Much of this research has focused on the laboratory and field benefit of using sensor in evaluating pavement performance. The results of this research have been mixed, especially regarding the use of sensors. The information reported here shows a number of gaps in the state of knowledge. It was found that the information to address the gaps was lacking or inconsistent. Although, the use of strain gauges to monitor road conditions in some application is quite well established and clearly successful to provide better understanding. Research is required to determine or clarify the following: • Cost effectiveness of using strain gauges • There is not guidance on construction • Standard method of collecting and interpreting strain gauges data • Long term performance Overall, the reported success of strain gauges is quite promising.     Abstract. The study dealt with the assessment of the health reality of health establishments in Samawah city located in Muthanna Province, Iraq, The geographical distribution of these health centers and the numbers of health and administrative staff in addition to the efficiency of the services provided by these centers according to local and international standards were studied. The Geographical Information System ( GIS) ) was adopted using the program (Arc Map V.10) Based on analysis of spatial and descriptive data of these health care centers. depending mainly on the need to provide good health services and that the use of GIS provides possibility to make the best decisions improving the health reality was accredited For the purpose of this research the data collected from Muthanna Health Department for 2015 together with that furnished by the Statistics department in the province were analyzed. It was that there is a decline in the level of health services in terms of geographical location and the preparation of medical and technical staff and management and the type of services provided by these establishments to the citizens when compared with local and global standards.
