Since countries have granted foreigners the right to enter and reside on their soil fora specific time for various purposes, including practicing work on the territory of thestate, the Iraqi legislator has put in place a number of considerations related to the workof foreigners in Iraq that require verification to ensure that the foreign worker does notviolate the legislation issued in this regard, and the purpose of that It is to preserve thesecurity and sovereignty of the state, in addition to achieving a kind of balance betweenthe right of the national and the foreigner to work in order to limit the non-dominance offoreign labor in the labor market in Iraq If the foreign worker violates those conditionsthat qualify him to work in Iraq, he will be subjected to the penalty of deportation, whichis a right established for the state after establishing justifications that, if achieved, areconsidered a reason for taking the deportation procedure. The state exercises this right,that is, deportation in two ways, the first through the administrative authoritiesrepresented in The Ministry of the Interior and whomever it authorizes, and the otherway through the judicial authorities as a supplementary or consequential punishment.The study also dealt with the procedures followed in this regard, as well as the effects ofdeportation.
