  • عنوان البحث : De-adhesion of Common Carp Fish Eggs (Cyprinus carpio L.) Using Strawberry Natural Juice Solution During Artificial Reproduction Process

    ملخص البحث :

Abstract: One of the most important problems during artificial reproduction of Common carp is the adhesion of its egg. Disposal of adhesive material on eggs increasing its hatching rate activity. In this research three different concentrations of Strawberry Juice were used (10, 15 and 20% respectively) to treat the eggs of Common carp fish in order to remove the adhesive materials comparing with the control (salt, urea and Tannin solutions). The results showed that using Strawberry Juice after eggs fertilization with concentration of 20 and15 % have the possibility of removing the adhesive substances with short time of about 5 and 7 minutes respectively with significant effect ( p>0.05) as compared with the control treatment which it takes about75 minutes to remove this substance. While the concentration of10 %the adhesive materials were not removed. Additionally there was a surpassing effect (p>0.05) at the rat of eggs fertilization and hatching in the both concentrations (15%; 20 %) which was higher than that treated with Tannin and fertilizing solution, and the results also showed that eggs at the two treatments (T2 and T3) with Strawberry Juice , have a shorter period of incubation which was(66 and 64 hours)as compared with the control (71 hours to hatches at 22Cº).

  • عنوان البحث : Growth Performance and Feed Efficiency Assessment of Two Groups of Common Carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) Cultivated in Iraq

    ملخص البحث :

Abstract: Laboratory experiments were conducted to compare the growth performance and feed efficiency of two groups, old (H1) and new (H2) of common carp Cyprinus carpio L. (97.37+0.33 g). Fishes of the H1 introduced to Iraq in 1982 and then their reproduction and farming began on a large scale, while fishes of the H2 was introduced to Iraq in 2009 by Inmaa Agricultural Enterprises Organization. H2 group indicated significantly (p<0.05) better performance in several studied parameters which included specific growth rate (SGR), feed conversion ratio (FCR), protein efficiency ratio (PER), protein productive value (PPV), total apparent digestibility and apparent digestibility of protein and carbohydrates. This group also recorded significant (p<0.05) lower feed satiation level and fat deposited in the body compared to the old group (H1). Results of the current experiment concluded that there is a clear higher efficiency of the group H2 in most studied growth and feed efficiency parameters, which indicates the possibility of obtaining higher productivity and better economic profits when used in farming activities.33

  • عنوان البحث : Comparative Study of Amino and Fatty Acids Synthesis in Two Different Groups of Common Carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) Cultured in Floated Cages

    ملخص البحث :

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to show the comparative analysis for fatty acids and amino acids in muscle tissues of two groups ofcommon carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) H1 (old production line, 1982) and H2 (the new production line,2009)which are important from economical, commercial and nutritional point of Iraqi consumer. These groups were farmed in floating cages at Euphrates River, Babylon province, Iraqlasted for 90 days. The fishes were fed on commercial diet ( @ Alear, Denmark ) with 30% protein and 7% fat. After finishing the experiment, allsamples were analyzed. There was a similarity in body components regarding to moisture, protein and ash proportions from both H1 and H2,whereas the total amount of fat content was high in H1(7.21%) and low in H2(4.12%). H2 has ability for body protein synthesis higher than fatdeposition as compared with H1.The saturated fatty acids (SFA) in fishes muscle was 34.24 and 27.79% in relation to total fatty acids (TFA) forH1 and H2 respectively. This is in turn reflects on SFA/ unsaturated fatty acids (USFA) which was in high ratio in H2 (2.61%) compared toH1(1.29%). Monounsaturated fatty acids constitute high part of TFA (45.08%) in H2 whereas was 39.23% in H1. The total SFA and MUFA waslow in muscle of H2. The SFA/PUFA nearest to 1 in H2 (0.98%). The ῳ6/ ῳ3 in H1 and H2 were 0.44-0.48. The muscles of common carp forboth groups contain all essential amino acids (EAA) but in different proportions. Although there were individual differences, some of them weresignificant in the ratios of essential and nonessential amino acids between the two groups of fish. The total ratios of essential and nonessentialamino acids did not show significant differences and were similar between the two groups. High levels in EAA especially lysine (Lys), arginine(Arg) and valine (Val) was in new production line (H2). It should take in consideration importance of H2 as one of valuable common carp whichwas introduced to Iraq in 2009, and is characterized by its high nutritional value due to its contents of USFA and EAA compared to oldproduction line H1.
