TTheexperimentwasimplementedtoassesstheinfluenceofdietarysupplementationoflayingquailswithcreatinemonohydrate(CrM),L-carnitine(CAR)andtheirmixture(CrMCAR)asantioxidantsagainstoxidativestress(OS)inducedby2.5ppmleadacetate(LA)indrinkingwateronproductive,physio-logicalandmicrobialaspects.Intotal,400layingquailfemalesat10wkofageweredividedintoarandomizeddesignwith5groupsand4replicatesof20birdseach.Birdswerefedadlibitumwithabalanceddietfor8wk.Thecontrolgroupwaskeptunderno-stressconditionsandwasgivenfreshwaterwithoutanyadditives(G1).WhilebirdsinothergroupswereexposedtoOSinducedexperimentallyby2.5ppmLAindrinkingwaterwithnofeedadditive(G2)orsupplementedwith500mg/kgCrM(G3)or500mg/kgCAR(G4)orcombinationof250mg/kgeachofCrMandCAR(CrMCAR,G5)tofeedmixture.ComparedtoG2,G5demonstratedthereduction(P≤0.05)offeedconversionratio,feedintake,mortalityandilealtotalcoliform,aswellasserumandeggmalondialdehydeandserumlipidhydroperoxide,uricacid,glucose,cholesterol,enzymaticactivities(alanineaminotransferase,aspartatetransaminase,alkalinephosphatase,creatinephosphokinase,g-glutamyltransferase),andheterophils/lymphocytesratio.Inthemeanwhile,therewasanincrease(P≤0.05)ineggpro-duction,eggmass,andweightwiththeimprovementofeggquality,serumsexhormoneslevelandileallacticacidbacteriaforG5followedbyG4andG3.Moreover,G5enhanced(P≤0.05),thetotalantioxidantcapacityofeggandserumglutathione,superoxidedismutase,catalase,glutathioneperoxidase,proteinandcalciumlevels.Therefore,dietaryCrMCAR,CARandCrMhaveanalogousinfluencetocontrolbyimprovingtheantioxidantandphysiologicalparameterswhichresultedinbetterproductiveperformanceandeggcharacteristicsofstressedquails.Theseantioxidants,especiallyintheirequalcombination,arebeneficialtoalleviateoxidativestressincidenceandcanberecom-mendedforpoultryfeedingundervariousaspectsofenvironmentalstresses
